Krishna Kumar

Researcher

At IIHS, Krishna Kumar is part of the Geospatial Lab. His work involves applying methods from computer vision and machine learning to urban spatial analysis. He also assists in developing new analysis methods using remotely sensed data.

Prior to joining IIHS, Krishna Kumar has worked as faculty at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute for Technology Calicut, Kerala. 

He earned his PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute for Technology Surathkal, Karnataka. His PhD thesis concentrated on the image-based measurement of diameters of the human carotid artery. He has secured an M.Tech. degree in Computer Vision and Image Processing from Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. His research interest includes Computer vision, Image processing and Machine learning.
