We will develop a method for downscaling ward level Census data, and, in combination with other datasets, will analyse spatial inequalities across Bengaluru, especially related to water.
Krishna Kumar P
Prior to joining IIHS, Krishna Kumar has worked as an Ad-hoc faculty at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute for Technology Calicut, Kerala.
He earned his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute for Technology Surathkal, Karnataka. His PhD thesis concentrated on the image-based measurement of diameters of the human carotid artery. He has secured an M.Tech. degree in Computer Vision and Image Processing from Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. His research interest includes Computer vision, Image processing and Machine learning.
At IIHS, Krishna Kumar is part of the Geospatial Lab. His work involves applying methods from computer vision and machine learning to urban spatial analysis. He also assists in developing new analysis methods using remotely sensed data.
