Rosaleen is COMPAS Communications and Media Manager responsible for publicising the aims, activities and achievements of the centre. She manages the various COMPAS websites and social media channels and is responsible for research communications, uptake and impact. She is also communications manager for PEAK Urban.
Before joining COMPAS she worked for the Oxford Martin School and the Young Lives international study at the Oxford Department of International Development, working on research communications outputs. Previously she spent two decades working in emergency and humanitarian communications for agencies such as the World Bank, Save the Children, HelpAge International, Oxfam Ireland and UNICEF. She has worked in emergency teams in Pakistan, Haiti, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
She has worked in public engagement with the BBC and in media relations and training with several UK charities. She has also spent time as a freelance writer, focusing on international development and human rights stories. She began her career in radio.
She has an MA in International Journalism.
