Peking University (PKU) is one of the largest and most prestigious research universities in China and a member of the C9 League, the Chinese equivalent to the Ivy League.
The Center for Urban Future Research at PKU was established in February 2016 to address the future challenges and development of the city and the complexity of urban structures.
The centre strengthens the research foundation of Peking University's theoretical exploration, planning practice, and decision-making consultation in the field of urban and regional development, and benefits from Peking University's technological advantages in social and economic surveys, big data acquisition and information processing.
It aims to establish a comprehensive urban research platform, promote integrated innovation, and strives to form leading academic achievements in urban development research.
